Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount Review- Video
Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Gen-Y Adjustable Two Ball Mount with a rise or drop of five inches in a two inch hitch receiver. When you're hauling something, you wanna make sure your trailer is the same height as your hitch receiver just to make things a lot safer when you are hauling whatever you're carrying. So what's nice about this system in particular is since it has that rise or drop of five inches, this can adapt for a lot of different types of trailers and sizes. So what's gonna come with this system today is we're gonna have three hitch receivers on here. That's what's gonna give you a different variety of rise and drops, and that's where your ball mount's gonna go right into. You'll notice we have two of them. more

We have it in our drop configuration and it's gonna be rated at 16,000 pounds for your gross trailer weight rating. Now our ball mount's rated at that 16,000 pound gross trailer weight rating. We also have a tongue weight rating or the downward pressure that's put on here at 1600 pounds. So this thing is super tough. more

Curt Class III Ball Mount with 2" Ball Review- Video
Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Curt Ball Mount for two-inch hitches with a two-inch ball already pre-installed. This ball mount is gonna be a great option for some mid-capacity towing, and, in fact, this one has a gross trailer weight rating of 7,500 pounds, which is a decent amount of weight. Your tongue weight rating's gonna come at 750 pounds, which is gonna be the weight that's pushed down on the ball mount. And what's nice about this combination is the ball comes pre-torqued and already attached. So, many times when you pick up a separate ball and ball mount combo, you have to torque this down, and if you don't have a large enough torque wrench, a lot of times that can be one more thing that you'll have to source. more

Draw-Tite Ball Mount Review- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Draw-Tite zinc-coated ball mount for two-inch hitches. Now, this has a one-inch rise or a two-inch drop like we have in this configuration, and it's gonna come in with a weight capacity of 12,000 pounds. Now, we have ours in our two-inch hitch with a five-eight pin and clip. This is not included, but let's pull this out and we'll take a look. Now, you'll see right away that this is pretty heavy-duty, and that's because of the solid shank, and that is really gonna give you that high weight capacity and this one's coming in at 12,000 pounds, which is gonna be plenty for our LBZ Duramax that we have today. Now, keep in mind any of your other components like your ball; this one's rated at 14,000 pounds, you're gonna wanna adhere to the lowest capacity. more

Let's check it out. There's a pretty wide range of adjustment here, giving you a maximum drop at the very bottom of nine and a quarter inches. For our motor home today, that's a little much, probably be better off getting a shorter version, but if you've got a taller truck or maybe one that's lifted, then this could give you that extra distance or that extra drop that you need. more

This one in particular is going to be a dual ball mount, so you get a two and 5/16 inch ball and a two inch ball. You can get these in tri ball configurations if you need that inch and 7/8, but this one is just gonna be the two and they're very easy to switch out because you just pull that pin, spin this around wherever you need, whether it's to that two and 5/16 or the two, re-pin it and clip on the other side. more

Now, this adjustable ball mount is ideal if you're gonna be using one vehicle to tow trailers with varying coupler heights. This will function as a rise, or you can flip it over to get a drop to help you level your trailer with your tow vehicle. What's so different with the Shocker Hitch brand is this one's gonna have a rubber cushion here inside the adjustable ball mount that's gonna absorb some of the chucking that you might get from the trailer. So if this is hooked up and it's moving or pushing forward you're gonna feel that when you're driving. So this is gonna absorb some of that so it won't transfer from the trailer to you and the truck. Now it's also an adjustable ball mount which means you can move the ball up and down wherever you need it to be. more

Now this ball mount has the built-in hitch balls that'll let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. The shank right back here, this is what'll slide into your two and a half inch by two and a half inch hitch receiver opening. And then the hitch balls up front is what'll provide the connection point for your trailer coupler. And if you notice on this one they give you a choice of two different size hitch balls. more

Now, this ball mount has the built-in hitch balls that'll let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. Basically, the shank back here is what'll slide into your 2 1/2 inch by 2 1/2 inch hitch receiver opening, and then the balls here will provide the connection point for your trailer coupler. And what's nice with this, it gives you two different size hitch balls, so it'll let you tow trailers with different coupler sizes. You can use the two inch diameter ball or the 2 5/16 diameter ball, and to switch which ball to use, all you have to do is remove the pin and clip, rotate the balls, and then reinsert the pin and clip. more

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Gen Y Adjustable Ball Mount with Stacked Receivers. This is also available in different rise and drops, creating a heavy mega duty ball mount for extreme towing situations. We'll talk about what it includes and what it can do here at etrailer. This is actually a very versatile ball mount with a lot of weight capacity, but also a very heavy ball mount so some people call this the one stop shop hitch ball mount and that's because it has stacked receivers so you can do a lot with this. It is designed for 2-1/2" hitch receivers though, that's what we have here on our Chevrolet Silverado. So this does fit right in, and allows us to carry those heavy trailers, but there are some things to keep in mind and consider for the different options that this Gen Y Adjustable Ball Mount has. more

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at this B&W Toe & Stow 3 ball mount for your 2 1/2 inch hitch. Now this B&W Toe & Stow adjustable ball mount is going to slide into your 2 1/2 inch hitch receiver, and it's gonna let you tow a variety of trailers with different tongue heights, having a 1 7/8 inch ball, a 2 inch ball, and a 2 5/16 inch hitch ball. These are going to allow for even more flexibility, making this a great ball mount to consider if you own multiple trailers. Now when you are not towing, you can easily flip the ball mount platform around and stow it beneath your hitch so that you won't bang up your shins. And let me just give you a brief demonstration of how you can do that. You're just going to remove the clips and the pins here. more
